Chili (con carne) is a Tex-Mex recipe that originated in the South Texas/North Mexico region and came about when Spanish settlers added beef to the spicy stew recipes of the indigenous people. TX isn’t stealing your citizens L.A., they’re coming here of their own free will because you suck right now, so don’t suck even more for taking the credit for the invention of Tex-Mex food.
